VibeCursor : Gesture Control Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-08-22

VibeCursor : Gesture Control ("the app") is developed by Deepshikha Yadav ("we", "us"). This policy

explains what the app does with your information. In short: the app processes the

camera on your device to detect hand gestures, and it does not upload, store, or

share your camera images or any personal information.

1. Camera

The app uses your device's front camera to detect the position of your hand in real

time. Camera frames are processed on your device using on-device machine learning.

Frames are analyzed momentarily to locate your hand and are then

discarded. The app does not record, save, or transmit camera images or video.

2. Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect or transmit personal information. The app has no user accounts, no

analytics or advertising SDKs, and does not build a profile of you. We do not sell or

share any data, because we do not collect any.

3. Data stored on your device

Your settings (such as gesture sensitivity and cursor preferences) and the app-to-

gesture shortcuts you create are stored locally on your device only. Uninstalling the

app removes them. This information never leaves your device.

4. Permissions we request, and why

- Camera: to detect your hand gestures (processed on-device, not stored or sent).

- Display over other apps (overlay): to draw the on-screen cursor above other apps.

The overlay is visual only and does not capture your touches.

- Accessibility service (optional, you enable it): to move the cursor and perform the

taps, scrolls, and navigation you make with your hand, in other apps. The app does

not read, collect, or transmit the contents of your screen.

- Foreground service / notifications: to keep hand tracking running with an ongoing

notification while you use system-wide mode, and to show that notification.

5. Network access

The app does not send your camera images, gesture data, or personal information to any

server. Some bundled machine-learning libraries include network capabilities, but

VibeCursor does not use them to collect, transmit, or share your data.

6. Children

The app is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from

children.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; changes will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
