Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 9 May 2026

SQLViewer (“SQLViewer”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and how you can control it.

By installing or using SQLViewer, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Files and Databases

SQLViewer allows users to open, import, create, edit, and manage files such as:

  • SQLite databases

  • SQL scripts

  • CSV files

  • Excel files

  • Other supported document formats

All imported or created files are stored locally on your device unless you explicitly choose to export, share, or save them elsewhere.

SQLViewer does not automatically upload your databases or files to external servers.

1.2 Library Management

Every file you open, import, or create may appear inside the app’s Library for easier access and management.

The Library feature allows users to:

  • Rename files

  • Duplicate files

  • Export files

  • Save changes back to the original location

  • Delete files

These operations are performed locally on your device.

Deleted files may not be recoverable once permanently removed.

1.3 Storage and File Access Permission

SQLViewer may request storage or file access permissions only to:

  • Open files selected by you

  • Import databases or documents into the app

  • Save edited files

  • Export or share files

  • Create backups or duplicate copies

The app only accesses files that you explicitly select or create within the app.

SQLViewer does not scan, monitor, or collect unrelated files from your device storage.

2. Data Storage and Security

Local Storage

Your files, databases, scripts, and imported documents are primarily stored locally on your device.

You maintain ownership and control over your data at all times.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect app data and reduce unauthorized access. However, no storage system or electronic transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Users are responsible for maintaining backups and protecting sensitive data stored on their devices.

3. User Controls

You may at any time:

  • Import or remove files

  • Rename or duplicate documents

  • Delete databases or scripts

  • Export files to another location

  • Revoke storage permissions through device settings

Uninstalling the app may permanently remove locally stored app data unless backed up separately.

4. Disclaimer

SQLViewer is a database and file management tool intended for educational, development, and productivity purposes.

While we strive to provide reliable functionality, SQLViewer is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that the app will always operate without interruptions, errors, or data loss.

SQLViewer and its developers are not responsible for:

  • Loss or corruption of files or databases

  • Improper imports or exports

  • Unsupported file formats

  • Device or storage failures

  • Third-party file issues

  • Accidental deletion of content

  • Any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app

Users are strongly encouraged to maintain backups of important files and databases before editing or modifying them.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be reflected by the “Last Updated” date above.

Continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
