  1. Sherni — Terms of Use

    By accessing or using Sherni (“Service”, “App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the Service.

    1. Eligibility

    You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Service.

    By using Sherni, you confirm that your use of the Service does not violate any applicable law, regulation, or legal obligation in your jurisdiction.

    2. User Responsibilities

    You are solely responsible for all activities conducted through your account and for the content you upload, post, share, or transmit through the Service.

    You agree not to use Sherni for any illegal, harmful, abusive, or unauthorized purpose.

    3. Prohibited Content and Conduct

    You must not upload, post, share, publish, transmit, or distribute any content that:

    • Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, hateful, or discriminatory

    • Harasses, bullies, trolls, or targets individuals or groups

    • Infringes copyrights, trademarks, patents, or other intellectual property rights

    • Contains false, misleading, or deceptive information

    • Impersonates another individual or entity

    • Contains viruses, malware, spyware, or malicious code

    • Threatens national security, public order, or violates Indian laws

    • Encourages self-harm, criminal activity, or dangerous behavior

    • Contains spam, advertisements, or unauthorized promotional content

    4. Account Rules

    • Personal phone numbers or email addresses of others

    • Confidential documents or records

    Please exercise caution before sharing personal information or connecting with users outside the platform.

    Sherni is not responsible for harassment, abuse, or misconduct caused by interactions with other users either inside or outside the platform.

    Users are encouraged to use blocking and reporting features whenever necessary.

    6. Intellectual Property

    You retain ownership of the content you create and upload to Sherni.

    However, by posting public content, you grant Sherni a non-exclusive right to display, distribute, promote, and share that content through the platform and official social media channels with appropriate credit to you.

    You must not copy, reproduce, modify, or misuse any part of the Service without permission.

    7. Restrictions on Use

    You agree not to:

    • Modify, disrupt, hack, reverse engineer, or damage the Service

    • Interfere with servers, networks, or app functionality

    • Spread malware, viruses, spyware, or harmful software

    • Attempt unauthorized access to accounts or systems

    • Restrict or prevent other users from using the Service

    • Use the Service for unlawful or fraudulent activities

    Any attempt to misuse the platform may result in immediate suspension or permanent termination of your account.

    Repeated violations or behavior that creates legal or security risks may lead to permanent removal from the platform.

    Sherni is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis.

    While we strive to maintain reliable services, we do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.

    Sherni and its developers shall not be responsible for:

    • Service interruptions or failures

    • Data loss or unauthorized access

    • Delayed SOS alerts or messaging failures

    • Network or device-related issues

    • User-generated content

    • Harassment or misconduct by other users

    • Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from use of the Service

    Users are advised not to rely solely on the application for emergency protection or personal safety.

    10. Communications

    By using the Service, you consent to receive communications electronically, including:

    • Emails

    • Notifications

    • Service announcements

    • Security alerts

    • Updates regarding your account or the app

    11. Changes to Terms

    We may update these Terms of Use from time to time.
